It’s no secret that there are left-wing politicians who love to chant “defund the police” — right up until they become the victim of a crime. But one story stands out as the ultimate “you can’t make this up” moment.
Meet Antonio Brown — an Atlanta City Council member and proud supporter of the “Defund the Police” movement. In 2020, he voted to strip tens of millions from the city’s police budget to “re-imagine public safety.”
Fast forward to real life: while attending a ribbon-cutting in broad daylight, Brown was carjacked by a group of kids — one of them allegedly just six years old.
You read that right. Six.
And just like that, the anti-police activist suddenly had nothing but praise for the cops who showed up to help. The guy who wanted to cut their funding was now depending on them to track down a kid who was so young, he was probably wearing Velcro sneakers.
Let’s be honest — if you get carjacked by a 6-year-old, you probably shouldn’t be leading the charge to defund the police. You clearly need their protection more than most.
